"The ‘More Than Oliver Twist’ project, funded by Arts Council England, has been moving forward beautifully..." ![]() Our new Project Support Officer, Wednesday Batchelor, provides an update on the project... The project is moving forward, with amazing research coming from our incredible volunteers and the appointment of the wonderful Mel Rye and Morgan Tipping to design and create the exhibition with us.
In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are considering how to move forward with the project, but we are working hard to think of new ways of presenting the exhibition, including the possibility of an immersive digital product. We are extremely grateful to Arts Council England who have extended the project funding for a further three months, meaning we are able to focus on the future of the project and contemplate the changes needed to make it work in the following months. Finally, a big hello from me; I am very pleased to join the team as the new Project Support Officer, sharing the role with the lovely Elspeth Hunter. My previous experience includes collections management, natural history and palaeontology, with voluntary experience at Wymondham Heritage Museum, so local and family history is really important to me! I can’t wait to be part of such a diverse and knowledgeable network and work on what’s going to be a fantastic exhibition. In the meantime, we hope you stay safe and well and stay at home when you can. We look forward to sharing new, exciting things with you!
