This week we are pleased to share an update on the More Than Oliver Twist exhibition from our fantastic artists, Mel Rye and Morgan Tipping.. VISUAL Mel is currently finalizing the 6 large biographical illustrations... adding colour, textures, and some photographs which have been gathered through the research process to bring the biographies to life. Each biography also has its own unique vintage radio which will be used within the radio interviews Morgan has created. Each of the biographies has its own signature colour palette to help define the audience journey through the exhibits. Next she will begin the process of structuring the exhibits on the Google Arts and Culture platform ready for testing ahead of exhibition launch. AUDIO
We might be tempted to think that the Pandemic and subsequent restrictions would have limited our capabilities, but if anything it has shown how strong the passion and commitment to researching and retelling the biographies is. Sharing the radio edit biographies, the people's perspective animations and research animations with the research teams across the six sites has given me the perfect opportunity to keep in touch with the researchers and storytellers involved in the project. In re-connecting with them I’ve discovered how much they have been undertaking, with many new documents and seminal pieces of evidence coming to light! It’s fantastic to have built in the chance to discuss this with the research volunteers and include the new information in the final pieces…. Thanks to everyone…. Not long until we’re live now!
