Our artists provide us with an exciting update on their work towards the More Than Oliver Twist exhibition!
Mel Rye and Morgan Tipping have been working hard behind the scenes to create amazing content for the upcoming digital exhibition.
Researchers from across all six sites have spoken to Morgan and the recordings of their research process and findings are now being edited to create six new audio pieces that give the context behind the scenes. The biographies have all been recorded and each story is related by the informed voices of researchers, volunteers and staff from across the 6 sites. Many of these voices also reflect the locality and the generosity of the volunteers from every site has been vital in helping the plans adapt to the lockdown rules and an incredible asset to the content.
Mel has been exploring the Google Arts and Culture platform which is the intended host platform for the exhibition, in order to begin drafting out the visual aspects of the exhibit to make best use of the platform’s features and requirements.
The initial audio pieces Morgan has begun to edit are also helping to inform the visual design work in progress.
