Mel Rye and Morgan Tipping are our wonderful artists collaborating to create our More Than Oliver Twist exhibition! Read on to get to know the artists a little better! Mel Rye, creator of these wonderful gifs, is going to be working on the visual aspects of the exhibition. She is an experienced illustrator and educator, using a wonderful array of mixed media to create playful and textured artworks. Morgan Tipping, pictured below, is creating the animations and audio for the exhibition. She works with individual stories to explore broader social and political issues. Morgan's work has taken her from UK care homes to European refugee camps and Indian schools to name a few. Mel and Morgan have collaborated before, working on The Factory art school with The Workhouse, Southwell, during which Morgan was 2019 Trust New Art Creative Fellow and Mel developed an arts trail around the town to visually interpret the ethos and spirit of the school and projects.
We are really excited to work with these amazing artists!
